If you look on the web for information about financial freedom, you will see millions of website promising you the quickest way to making millions of dollars. They talk about joining affiliate programs or network marketing ventures. They are all talking about the making of more money. I know that making more money is important, but I also know that it is just ONE part of a three-part puzzle. Financial OffenseOne part is making more money - what I call financial offense. This is all about finding different and more efficient ways of making money. And if you are serious about financial freedom, the most desirable form of income is passive income - income you earn without spending significant amounts of time. You can earn a lot of passive income by using a variety of avenues, such as rental real estate or dividends or online business or network marketing. Financial DefenseThe next part is learning to use your money wisely and efficiently - what is known as financial defense. The world has seen too many people who earned a whole lot of money, which did not stay with them for long. These people had not learned the habits of financial defense, and so the money that came into their lives was not respected. As a result many of them ended up broke. Financial defense gets much less press online than does financial offense, the sexy part, but financial defense skills are critical if you want to be truly financially free.
